Why Should Kids Be Practicing Jiu Jitsu?
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a great way for young athletes to hone their focus, learn to listen, and follow directions. It is also a great way for kids to release pent-up energy and use their bodies.
BJJ training teaches many valuable skills that can be used in all aspects of life, including self-discipline, confidence, self-defense, respect, body awareness, and flexibility.
“I’ve seen the benefits firsthand of how the sport of BJJ enhances focus, boosts athleticism, builds strong relationships, and improves coordination and body awareness. The structure builds confidence to deal with adversity and the physical contact enhances instinctual reactions in situations.” - Coach Shayne Fenton
